You may be asking yourself who runs this site and why it exists. Here is the story. I bought the domain name Boonville.net around 1999. I never used it much except as a test site for some of my own programming work. As a part of that work, I had designed an application for webmasters to let them run their own alumni site and released it for free. As time went by, many users all across the world downloaded and installed it.
I left the software alone and worked on other projects, but over the years, people kept contacting me, sometimes begging, about the software and if I would ever update it. They even offered money for it. Well, finally I got around to it and have completely written the AlumniPro over from scratch adding many new features.
I got to thinking about how I could keep up on the software, and the idea for this site was born. Not only would it force me to keep the software up to date, but also in a sense, give back to the Boonville, New York community where I used to live and call home.
So basically, this one is on the house, and as long as I can afford to keep this site up, here it will remain. It has been active since 1999, so I do not expect it to go anywhere soon. So I hope everyone enjoys it!
